behind the lens

about me

I'm a huge advocate for celebrating your day how you want. If you want a small and intimate celebration or a luxurious party, I'll be there every step of the way, photographing the small, intimate moments, to the wide toothed smiled of your loved ones. I understand how short life can be, and at the end of the day, all that's left is the legacy you leave behind.

I'm a documentary and editorial photographer who's there to capture your day as honest as possible while incorporating style and design elements to your images for art you can frame on your walls. I'll follow a timeline, plan and direct the portrait portions of your day, but I want to remain as much of a fly on the wall as possible.

Serving in Tennessee, NYC, and Florida but available to travel worldwide.

"When I’m creating I allow my hands to move their own way. It’s sort of like dancing. You can hear the beat, in this case it’s a beat that only I can hear, and you move to it. I look at this piece and I see that movement; it fills me up and pushes me to dance some more."

I was born and raised in a city known for its clowns, trapeze's, and world famous tight rope walkers. Sarasota, Florida is considered the "Circus Capitol of the World" and although I've never been in the circus, it was through one of the famous Ringling Brother's, John Ringling, that I have to thank for my interest in art and entrepreneurship. I grew up exploring his art collection located at one of his homes and now museum, The Ringling.

I originally studied Illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design, but ended up dropping out after discovering that photography was my true passion and haven't looked back since. I've had the pleasure of living overseas and getting to document weddings in different countries including Mexico, Norway, and Sweden.

I'm an introvert but I've been told that I come alive with a camera in my hands. I enjoy sipping coffee, exploring new places, board games, psychology, and creative projects. I'm in love with my wonderful husband, Steven, who is also my Second Photographer and a brilliant Videographer. Check out my alter ego/creative photography @fairfoxes on instagram!
